"Someone please call the Michelin Guide. How this restaurant isn’t already listed is beyond me. From the moment we walked in, we knew we’d stumbled upon something special. The décor strikes that perfect balance of elegant, rustic, and minimalist, built inside of a mountain thats simple and sophiscated. And the food… simply sensational. Words honestly fail to capture the mouth-watering sensory overload we experienced. Every bite felt bold, balanced, and filled with flavours and love. The flavours were a true world fusion, yet rooted unmistakably in the heart of Italy. You can taste the love, the heritage, and the imagination in every dish. We arrived without a reservation, yet were greeted so warmly by the husband-and-wife duo who run the place...the husband managing the front of house, and his wife working in the kitchen cooking pure magic. This is a hidden gem in every sense, refined but unpretentious, intimate yet confident. If there’s any justice, the Michelin inspectors will find their way here soo ."

"Fine ingredients, combined and prepared with imagination and skill, served with care and charm. The restaurant is in a beautifully restored building, and it is well worth taking the trouble to find your way there before it gets booked out, as it deserves to be."

"Easily the best food in Trevi. Everyone in our party loved their food, highlights were the strangozzi with asparagus and truffle, and the rosemary and lemon cake was delicious. Will be going back this trip to have the same again"

"Had an amazing lunch. €35 per person, including a glass of wine and 3 dishes. They were all very tasty and delicious. Would definately come back another time. The restaurant is a bit hidden away, but the Instagram post how to reach it, really helped."

"I can’t say enough about my favourite place in the Umbria region. Flavours to die for, the most amazing setting, great service and run by very friendly people. If I was to get this quality of food back home I’d expect to wait months for a reservation and pay through the nose. Not here, we feel so lucky to have discovered La Foresteria. A few points of note about this ristorante. The wines are exceptional and they have made an effort to offer slightly less known and interesting Umbrian wines. I’ve been blown away each time - ask for a recommendation! The location (a short walk through the winding streets of Trevi from the historical centre) is one of the real selling points about this place. Sometimes the best things are worth seeking out and this is definitely a case of that. It’s exciting to arrive in this location and the view is phenomenal. The setting itself, a restored workshop is really unique and there are nice touches everywhere in the decor. The food is so inspired. Umbrian but with a twist. Creative flavours and exceptionally well executed, I wish I could cook like this! Get yourself to La Foresteria now!"

"From start to finish this is a truly fulfilling dining experience. Upon arrival the beautiful service makes you feel relaxed and at home. We were told about the local products from the area and given a complimentary glass of delicious sparkling wine. The food is as good as it looks! Every mouthful is bursting with flavour. We loved it so much we booked for lunch the next day. The restaurant itself is a stunning renovated house that belonged to the owners family going back generations. It is full of interesting stories including a pottery display dating back to the 14th century. You must ask about the old stone washtub. Going to this restaurant is a must when in Trevi! You will leave filled with great food and joyful memories! Grazie mille!"

"This is a hidden gem of a place that you definitely need to make time for when visiting Trevi! All of the food we had was absolutely delicious and the service was incredible. The owners have really thought of everything. We sat outside underneath a lovely pomegranate tree, but the interior of the restaurant was also beautiful with a real focus on smaller architectural details that Stefano was more than happy to tell us about. Could not recommend this place more. Thank you Sandy and Stefano!"
